TMEIC Americas, a subsidiary of Japan's TMEIC Corporation, has officially announced that its advanced photovoltaic (PV) inverter manufacturing plant located in Waller County, Texas has commenced production. This 144000 square foot Westport factory has been producing utility scale photovoltaic inverters since November 2024. As of February 5, 2025, over 300 units have been manufactured, exceeding expectations. This achievement fully demonstrates TMEIC's firm determination to promote domestic manufacturing in the United States and accelerate the development of renewable energy.

In mid November 2024, TMEIC held its opening ceremony and ribbon cutting ceremony at the Westport factory. TMEIC executives, important clients, partners, and local government officials attended the event to witness this important moment together. The guests visited the factory and watched the on-site demonstration of inverter production, gaining a deeper understanding of TMEIC's continuous investment in local manufacturing and renewable energy sectors. This event highlights the key role of the factory in supporting TMEIC's strategic vision for promoting clean energy solutions and consolidating its position in the global renewable energy market.

Manmeet S. Bhatia, President and CEO of TMEIC Americas, said, "We are thrilled that the Westport plant is fully operational, producing high-quality photovoltaic inverters and helping North America transition to clean and sustainable energy. The opening of this plant is an important cornerstone of TMEIC's strategy to expand its manufacturing footprint in the United States, enabling us to meet the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in the market. With increased production capacity, we will make significant contributions to the development of the US solar industry

At present, the Westport factory has started production as scheduled, and newly hired employees have undergone rigorous training to ensure product quality meets customer expectations while fully satisfying market demand. The production of the factory not only expands production capacity, but also creates employment opportunities for the local area and promotes local economic growth. Waller County has played a key role in TMEIC's investment by creating a favorable business environment, which not only promotes the prosperity of the local manufacturing ecosystem, but also recently approved the tax reduction policy for the project, providing strong support for enterprise development.
