After India, Germany's cumulative installed photovoltaic capacity also exceeded the milestone of 100GW.
Recently, the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) reported that Germany added approximately 1.12 GW of new photovoltaic installed capacity in January, compared to approximately 1.6 GW in January 2024 and 1.82 GW in December 2024.
In the new capacity deployed in January, 19.3MW came from balcony photovoltaic systems, and another 756MW came from rooftop photovoltaics; In addition, 237.5 MW comes from ground-based photovoltaic projects, and 13 MW comes from other project types.
As of the end of December 2024, Germany's cumulative installed capacity has reached 100.8GW.
According to updated data, Germany increased by approximately 16.73GW in 2024.
